Privacy policy
Lunille has no account, no analytics, no tracking and no ads. This page lists everything that leaves your Mac, and everything the website and our inbox see.

What stays on your Mac
Lunille reads your notifications, calendars, coding assistant logs, what's playing, your accessories and their battery, and your Focus status, all on your Mac, to show them in the notch. None of it is uploaded. The camera mirror shows the camera only on your screen and records nothing. Your settings are stored on your Mac.
What leaves your Mac
- Weather
- When weather is on and you allow Location, your location rounded to about 1 km goes to Open-Meteo to get the forecast.
- Album artwork
- When Spotify is playing and macOS has no cover, Lunille downloads the cover image from Spotify's server.
- Your license
- When you buy inside Lunille, the checkout comes from Lemon Squeezy in a Lunille window. Afterwards Lunille asks lunille.com for its license with the order's number and code, then activates it: the license key and your Mac's model (for example "Mac15,3") go to Lemon Squeezy, which checks the key about once a week. Nothing about how you use Lunille goes with it.
- Updates
- Once a day Lunille asks lunille.com whether there's a new version. The request carries the app's name and version and nothing about you. You can turn this off in Lunille's settings, under Updates.
As with any connection, these servers see your IP address. Lunille sends nothing else, and it has no code that measures how you use it.
This website
lunille.com has no analytics and no advertising. It's hosted on Cloudflare, which handles your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The icons load from unpkg and the 3D scene from jsDelivr, so those services see your IP address too. The site sets no cookies.
When you buy Lunille
Lemon Squeezy, our reseller, handles the order. It receives your name, e-mail address, payment details and country to take the payment and charge the right tax, under its own privacy policy. We see your name, e-mail address, country and order, and use them only for your license, refunds and support. We never see your card.
When you write to us
If you write to hello@lunille.com, or use Send Feedback… in the app, we receive your e-mail address and your message. Feedback from the app includes your Lunille and macOS versions, your Mac model and your language, which you can see and edit before you send it. We use it only to answer you and fix problems, and we delete it if you ask.
Your choices
You can turn off weather, update checks and every other feature in Lunille's settings, and remove each permission in System Settings › Privacy & Security. To remove Lunille, quit it and drag it to the Trash. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
Who we are
